with background in forestry and earth sciences has resulted in a keen interest in the impact of climate change and in working on climate solutions with others. Since 2021 I have hosted over 30 online small group conversations with guest speakers on a variety of topics such as the clean energy transition, extreme weather and risk reduction, local government action plans, and IPCC assessment reports.

Since 2014 my volunteer work has included being an advisor for Catalyste+ (formerly CESO-SACO) and completing multi-year assignments in the Arctic and in Latin America. I also completed a 4-year term on the BC Board of the United Church of Canada, working on affordable housing and property redevelopment.

Most of my career was spent with the Government of BC helping to resolve conflicts over the use of forest land and natural resources. This work gave me experience in developing private-public partnerships, implementing new programs and agencies, and in negotiating agreements with First Nations regarding revenue sharing, consultation, and accommodation.
